MTDC Flags off Refurbished Deccan Odyssey Train

Deccan Odyssey a luxury train in India, has embarked on its maiden journey in a completely new look on this Wednesday. The luxury train has been re-launched with renovated interiors, including a spa, gymnasium, library, lounge, beauty salon, business center, conference room, bar and restaurants as well as luxury cabins and majorly targets foreign travelers. The hospitality service on board Deccan odyssey will be managed by the prestigious Taj Group.
Commenting on the launch of Deccan Odyssey Train, tourism minister Mr. Chagan Bhujbal said “Guests have all the conveniences and services of a five-star hotel in the train. They need not look for hotel reservations or even travel arrangements for sight-seeing trips at every destination. MTDC’s services include all meals as well as air-conditioned buses at every stop and a guided tour for guests.”
A joint venture of Maharashtra State Tourism Development and Indian Railways, Deccan Odyssey was designed to promote tourism in the Deccan region of India. During its week long journey across Maharashtra and Goa, the luxury train traverses World Heritage Sites of Ajanta and Ellora, natural treasure troves of Konkan coast and the gorgeous beaches of Goa.
